Government Funded Places
Long Marston Preschool offers Government funded places from aged two, where eligible. Parents can also use their Extended Government funded hours for eligible 3 and 4 year olds here also.
If you would like your child to attend preschool for more hours than the Government provides funding, the cost of the extra hours are invoiced on a half termly basis. Private fees are rising to £4.20 per hour with effect from 1st April 2017.
Long Marston Preschool provides a super environment for our children to play and learn and continues to be excellent value for money.
The preschool accepts childcare vouchers and parents commonly fund private fees via one of a number of tax efficient salary sacrifice schemes. Please ask for more information if appropriate.
The preschool is a not-for-profit organisation. The Committee is committed to managing the preschool’s finances as responsibly and effectively as possible. We receive grants from North Yorkshire County Council for government funded places and direct fees for non-funded hours. This income should pay for our operational costs including staffing salaries and rent. We also actively fundraise to buy new or replacement equipment and resources.
